First of all, a big thank you to all my dear friends in the congregation, who sent me on my vacation with encouragement and love. I am so very blessed to have you in my life.
This Sunday, the special music will be one of my all-time favorite songs…. ‘You raise me up.’ We now start our Sunday morning worship with an extra song, and this will be it!
This Sunday also, our new coffee machine will be in operation. Our thanks to David and Carolyn Meade who researched, purchased, and set up this three carafe system. To all tea drinkers out there, we will now have hot water ready to sip. Financing for this project came from the Memorial Fund Committee, who also approved the purchase of new Songbooks for our PRAISE Ensemble.
A friendly reminder that on Tuesday, 6th September we are joining together with the Emmons and Cooperstown Junction congregations for a Hymn Sing, with Ron Johnson on the organ. It starts at 7pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends/neighbors/total strangers to come and enjoy good music and good company. It also marks the beginning of our Fall Congregational Campaign, this year… 40 Days of Community. I will be giving full details on Sunday morning, together with an insert for you to take home, and a signup sheet for you to autograph.
Plans are underway for a Community Kitchen program, providing opportunities for people of all ages and culinary skillsets, to come together, cook, and take home meals for their freezer. Sam Borgstrom will be telling us more, and available to answer any questions you might have.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning. The last Sunday in August. Time to present the Methodist of the Month award to a very deserving member of the congregation…. who will it be this month? You will just have to come to find out!
