Welcome one and all to August. What happened to July? Time is ticking away, and I hope that each and every one of you is managing to find a little down time to enjoy this beautiful sunshine, and the occasional moisture intervention.
Many thanks to all who dropped by the Parsonage on Wednesday afternoon. We had a total of 12 members of both congregations. Sarah baked some delicious goodies for us all, and a good time was had by all.
This coming Sunday is Communion Sunday, a very special day in our calendar. In September we are planning to add a mid-week service, which offers Communion with prayers, singing and a short devotion. I am so looking forward to this! I find by the middle of the week, my Sunday state of mind has been eroded by all the hustle and bustle of life. It will be the perfect opportunity to recharge our spiritual batteries.
Work is almost complete on our Church Directory, and now Kieran is moving full steam ahead on the first Newsletter, as yet to be named…. we are trying to remember the name of the newsletter from way back in the mists of time. Anyone with a long memory??
Finally, It has been suggested that the Green Team be brought back to life, to come visit the Parsonage garden and suggest what needs to be planted, and what needs to be pruned, uprooted or tended to. I know there are many excellent gardeners out there, but I also know that gardening is definitely NOT one of my skillsets. As Elvis would have said…. ‘Have mercy!’
If you want to be part of the Green Team, to be powered by Sarah’s cookies and homemade lemonade, please let me know.
Blessings in abundance, and I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning, which is fast approaching.
The PRAISE ensemble will be singing!
(I am currently working on lots of new music for the Fall, and can’t wait to share lots of wonderful new songs with you all)
