Greetings to one and all!
Another busy week for us all, as we accelerate towards Christmas Day!
Womens Ministry Christmas Celebration: Happening on Tuesday 13th December. We meet up at the church at 6pm, armed with 2 dozen cookies. One dozen will go towards making up Christmas plates of goodies for Seniors and shut-ins. At 7pm, we will be moving on to the Sewards house with the remaining cookies. For more details, please contact Sandy Andrews, Cindy Seward or Joanne Osterhoudt
CHRISTMAS CHUTNEY will be available to purchase, just as soon as I get enough jars to put it all in. If you have never tasted chutney before, it is a sweet/savoury relish that goes well with cold meats, curries, or in turkey sandwiches, the day after Christmas Day.
If you have an empty Cranberry Sauce jar, please return it, and get it filled to the brim with delicious cranberry chutney. $5 a jar. All proceeds to the church. If you have any spare jars, please drop them off at the Parsonage, or at church. They would be GREATLY appreciated.
Sunday December 18th CHRISTMAS PAGEANT. Following the service, there will be a Congregational Potluck lunch. There is a sign up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. This is our version of a Christmas Party: Watching the children re-enact the Christmas story, singing lots of carols, and then eating a wonderful meal together.
Tuesday 20th December 1pm. We will be singing carols at the Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta. Let me know if you plan on attending, and I will print off copies of the carols for you. The residents always love this special event, and the opportunity to sing and meet new friends.
Good luck with the Christmas shopping, and all the preparations. Don’t find those three words at the top of your list. PEACE. FIND SOME.
Blessings in abundance,
