Another beautiful day in upstate New York, with the promise of more of the same for the weekend. I will be preaching on slowing down and smelling the roses on Sunday morning, as I begin the July series looking at ‘Flowers of the Bible’.
I know, many of you have told me I need to take my own advice… which leads me to the next piece of exciting news.
I will be moving into the Parsonage tomorrow, Friday 1st July. Canada Day! Yeeeeehaw! Feel free to drop round and say hello!
Contact Information forms are available on the Prayer Request table. Please hand in your copy to Kieran, our Church Administrator, or put it in the mailbox marked Church Administrator, in the foyer. We are hoping to have a congregational Directory available in the Fall, so that we can all access contact information in a speedy fashion.
Also, if you are involved in one of our church ministries, it’s never too early to start planning for the Fall.
We are hoping to begin a monthly Newsletter, in September, and are in search of a name for the Newsletter, so if you have a suggestion, let me know!
Communion will be celebrated this Sunday, 3rd July. It is our tradition here in Milford to celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month.
I am seriously considering adding a mid-week Evensong Service with communion, in the Fall. It would be a service with music, scripture, a short devotion/meditation and communion. Wednesday evenings at 7pm. If this is something you would be interested in attending, or helping to bring about, please let me know.
A very happy Fourth of July to you all!
I look forward to seeing your smiling faces on Sunday morning,
May this summer be a time to restore, renew, and reinvigorate us all.
Blessings in abundance,
