I hope you are managing to stay warm in this recent cold snap. Very Canadian!
Two important dates this week:
First of all, this coming Sunday, 5th March, there is a very important Board of Trustees meeting, following the service, in the Sanctuary, at 12 noon.
This Sunday, is also Communion Sunday. All are welcome to come forward and take communion. The United Methodist Church is totally inclusive…after all Jesus himself never excluded anyone, and we model ourselves on His example.
Then, a week on Sunday, on 12th March, we have District Superintendent Everett Bassett visiting us, and preaching on this day. I am praying for a good turn out, and mild weather! DS Bassett and his wife, Sharon, came to our service on New Years Day, and enjoyed meeting many of you. Let’s hope this visit is just as successful!
On a personal front, my two children will be in church also on March 12th. They are coming to visit for a long weekend. If you would like to meet them, this is your opportunity!
Please sign up to help with Happy Hour following services. Goodies are always greatly appreciated, and we have vacancies beginning March 19th.
Our coffee service is stellar! A BIG thankyou to David and Carolyn Meade for their continuing commitment to this vital part of Happy Hour… you all know how much I like my coffee, and I am not alone!
David and Carolyn Meade are also responsible for our new candle table and set up. When you first arrive in the Sanctuary, or during the first hymn, please feel free to come forward and light a candle for someone on your heart, or mind. It is a wonderful way of including our loved ones in our service.
